Why monthly giving is so important
By giving monthly you are helping to give £5m to research across the next five years. Research allows us to bring earlier diagnoses, better understanding of each individual patient’s cancer, to improve our current treatments and brings us new drugs. We are also able to fund specialist research programmes including investigating how breast cancer spreads to the brain and how we can use AI to improve prostate cancer treatment.
Additionally, we also fund services within the hospital such as supporting teenage and young adult patients through their cancer treatment and arts engagement for better health.

“Hello, my name is Jackie. I was treated at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre for cancer in my lymph nodes after discovering a malignant ulceration on my tongue. My world turned upside down.
The chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments I received at the Centre were life-changing, and the staff were incredible. During one of my radiotherapy sessions, I noticed the Charity leaflets in the waiting room. Although I couldn’t volunteer because I live far away, I still wanted to give back. The outstanding care I received inspired me to become a regular giver, so I could help other patients.”
