Leaving a lasting legacy gift in your Will

Together, we can make a difference for future generations.

Leaving a gift in your Will is a big decision, but it can be one that makes a very special and lasting difference to the lives of people with cancer, long into the future.

Gifts in Wills fund a third of our work and helps Clatterbridge Cancer Charity to make a difference to local people with cancer. For example, if you were to leave a gift to Clatterbridge, even just as little as 1%, you are helping us to make faster progress on developing new types of cancer drugs, including a UK-first cancer vaccine that can fight the disease, or creating a welcoming and relaxing environment for our patients.

Over the years, gifts in Wills have enabled some key innovations in care that have saved countless lives and brought cancer care closer to the people who need us.

How do I include Clatterbridge Cancer Charity in my Will?

We recommend you use a solicitor to have your Will drafted. You just need to let them know you would like to leave a gift in your Will to Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. If you already have a Will, it’s important to check that any gift you want to leave to charity is properly recorded as any uncertainty can cost time and ultimately divert funds from your generous donation to legal costs.

The full legal description that should always be used to describe our Charity in a Will is:

Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, Charity Office, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre,
Clatterbridge Road, Wirral, CH63 4JY

Registered Charity No. 1202412

Peter's Gift

“Having lived in Merseyside my whole life, I have seen incredible advances in the treatments that people with cancer receive at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre.

Knowing that my gift to Clatterbridge Cancer Charity will be invested wisely to enhance treatments for people with cancer in my local community beings me pleasure and comfort.

I would encourage everyone to consider leaving a gift in their will to a charity that means something to them, just like Clatterbridge does to me.”

Peter Holme

Emma Rodgers

The Clatterbridge Fairy was specially created by our Charity Patron, internationally acclaimed sculptor, Emma Rodgers.

We asked Emma to share why she's supporting our Fairy Appeal:
"I have been a Patron of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity for 14 years now, as my mum is cared for there. They are incredible with her and getting the 'all clear' was a wonderful moment. They've done more for me than I can ever do for them, so creating the Fairy seems a small thing, really.

And this year I will be dedicating my Fairy to Professor Myint and the Team at Clatterbridge love from Emma, Milly, Annie and family."
