Our Impact

We are the dedicated fundraising charity for The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust, one of the UK’s leading cancer centres, serving patients across Cheshire, Merseyside and beyond.

With 1 in 2 people in our region affected by cancer, we raise money to go further than NHS funding can reach, investing in the equipment, research and patient care that makes a real difference to people at the most difficult time of their lives.

In 2024/25 our supporters raised £4.7 million, which has funded cutting-edge research including UK-first clinical trials, new technology to make radiotherapy more comfortable, an arts programme enjoyed by over 2,000 patients, and vital support for our teenage and young adult ward.

We support patients at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre’s three main sites in Liverpool, Wirral and Aintree, as well as a network of chemotherapy clinics closer to home. Every pound raised by our community stays local, helping to ensure that people across our region have access to the very best cancer care.

Emma Rodgers

The Clatterbridge Fairy was specially created by our Charity Patron, internationally acclaimed sculptor, Emma Rodgers.

We asked Emma to share why she's supporting our Fairy Appeal:
"I have been a Patron of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity for 14 years now, as my mum is cared for there. They are incredible with her and getting the 'all clear' was a wonderful moment. They've done more for me than I can ever do for them, so creating the Fairy seems a small thing, really.

And this year I will be dedicating my Fairy to Professor Myint and the Team at Clatterbridge love from Emma, Milly, Annie and family."
