Supporting Mental Health at Clatterbridge

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we at Clatterbridge Cancer Charity want to shine a light on the incredible impact your support has on the mental well-being of our patients. At The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, we believe that healing goes beyond medical treatment, and thanks to your generosity, we can offer a range of creative activities that bring joy, comfort, and a sense of normalcy to those undergoing cancer treatment.

Art Activity Packs & Artwork

Your donations help us provide art activity packs to our patients, offering them a creative outlet.

These packs are more than just a distraction; they are a source of relaxation and a way to express emotions that words often cannot capture.

Additionally, the beautiful artwork displayed around our hospitals, funded by your contributions, transforms our clinical spaces into welcoming and inspiring environments.

These pieces of art not only brighten the walls but also lift the spirits of everyone who sees them.

Performances & Partnerships

One of the most cherished initiatives funded by our supporters is our partnership with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Through this collaboration, we bring live performances to our patients, filling the hospital with the soothing and uplifting sounds of music, as well as one-on-one music lessons.

These performances provide a much-needed escape and a moment of peace, helping to alleviate the stress and anxiety that often accompany a cancer diagnosis.

How you can help...

On this #WorldMentalHealthDay, let’s come together to support the mental well-being of cancer patients at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. Your generosity makes it possible for us to provide these essential creative activities that bring hope and healing. Thank you for being a part of our community and for making a real difference in the lives of those we serve.

Together, we can continue to create a brighter, more hopeful future for our patients.

Emma Rodgers

The Clatterbridge Fairy was specially created by our Charity Patron, internationally acclaimed sculptor, Emma Rodgers.

We asked Emma to share why she's supporting our Fairy Appeal:
"I have been a Patron of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity for 14 years now, as my mum is cared for there. They are incredible with her and getting the 'all clear' was a wonderful moment. They've done more for me than I can ever do for them, so creating the Fairy seems a small thing, really.

And this year I will be dedicating my Fairy to Professor Myint and the Team at Clatterbridge love from Emma, Milly, Annie and family."
