"The Glow Green walk is a chance to look back, give back and keep striding positively with a great group of girls. "

Claire and her friends at last year's Liverpool Glow Green Night Walk for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity

Hello, my name’s Claire and in 2014 aged 35 I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. There was no family history, so it was a huge shock.

I received excellent and prompt treatment from The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre. I had a mastectomy, egg preservation and chemotherapy.

Fast forward 12 years and I am a proud wife and mum to an eight-year-old and living my best life. So, I cannot thank The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre enough.

Taking part in Clatterbridge Cancer Charity’s Glow Green is my way of giving back and this year will be my third Glow Green walk.

This time we have opted for the new walk in Chester, which we are all really looking forward to.

The Glow Green walk is a chance to look back, give back and keep striding positively with a great group of girls.

If you feel inspired by Claire, then there is still time for you to join us on our Glow Green Night Walk in Chester on Friday 27th February. Sign up here.

Emma Rodgers

The Clatterbridge Fairy was specially created by our Charity Patron, internationally acclaimed sculptor, Emma Rodgers.

We asked Emma to share why she's supporting our Fairy Appeal:
"I have been a Patron of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity for 14 years now, as my mum is cared for there. They are incredible with her and getting the 'all clear' was a wonderful moment. They've done more for me than I can ever do for them, so creating the Fairy seems a small thing, really.

And this year I will be dedicating my Fairy to Professor Myint and the Team at Clatterbridge love from Emma, Milly, Annie and family."
