We’re delighted to share that Clare White has officially joined Clatterbridge Cancer Charity as our new Chief Executive.
Clare stepped into the role on 14th September, taking over from Katrina Bury, who retired in July after ten remarkable years leading the Charity.
Many in our region’s charity community will already know Clare’s name. She previously held chief executive roles at Alder Hey Children’s Charity, The Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace, and LCVS. She’s also run her own consultancy, helping third sector leaders and teams strengthen their leadership, strategy, fundraising and governance.
Brian Barwick OBE, Chair of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, welcomed the appointment:
“Clare is an outstanding appointment who has a wealth of experience in the charity sector in Merseyside.
“Her expertise and leadership will be a huge benefit to the Charity and to the people we help, and I am very much looking forward to working with her.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Katrina and pay tribute to her for 10 years of dedicated leadership. She leaves the Charity in an extremely strong position for the future to help local people with cancer.”
Clare shared her own thoughts on joining the team:
“I am very proud to be leading Clatterbridge Cancer Charity and its dedicated team of fundraisers. We are committed to delivering our best for patients and making a real difference to the lives of people with cancer and their families.
“Katrina has been a superb Chief Executive and I am determined to build on everything she achieved and deliver lasting impact.
“This year is the 30th anniversary of the Charity and I look forward to working with the team to build a successful future.”
