Returning in February 2026 to celebrate its fifth anniversary, the Glow Green Night Walk is set to be bigger than ever — with a brand-new walk added in Chester!
Glow Green is a fantastic opportunity to gather with friends and family, enjoy a fun 8k route, and raise vital funds to support cancer patients across Merseyside and Cheshire.
Earlier this year, 1,500 walkers lit up Liverpool, with iconic landmarks including St George’s Hall, St John’s Beacon, and The Royal Liver Building glowing green in solidarity.
And now, for the first time, Chester will host its own Glow Green Night Walk, giving even more people the chance to take part in this uplifting and meaningful event.
Both walks will take place in February 2026, marking World Cancer Day — a time to honour those affected by cancer, thank the people who care for them, and celebrate life-saving research happening right here in our region.
Registration is now open, and those who sign up before 31 October will receive a free lantern to dedicate to a loved one, a special staff member, or in celebration of life. These lanterns will form part of the event’s moving lantern display, one of the most poignant moments of the evening.
