This incredible 3-day trek through Morocco’s majestic Atlas Mountains will take you off the beaten path, through remote trails, ancient Berber villages, and awe-inspiring landscapes few tourists ever see.

Every step you take will help raise vital funds to support local people facing cancer across our region.

But the adventure doesn’t stop at the summit! After your climb, you’ll enjoy a well-earned bonus day exploring the vibrant sights, sounds, and souks of Marrakesh – a perfect way to celebrate your achievement and soak up Moroccan culture.

Locals call it Adrar n’dem – the “mountain of mountains.” Now it’s your chance to stand on top of it, knowing you’ve made a real difference.

What you need to know

Mount Toubkal is located in Morocco and goes through the High Atlas Mountains to the summit of Mount Toubkal, North Africa's highest peak, starting in Marrakech!

The area is a known trekking destination, and the trails are well-marked. The trek is not technically difficult, but you will encounter a variety of terrain, some rocky steps, big ascents, and descents.

Overall, this trek is demanding so you should be physically fit and prepared for the rigours of trekking for long hours.

While camping you will be up early (3:30am on summit day and 6:00am on the last day) and after an early breakfast, you will start walking. In the evenings, you will be given mint tea and time to rest rest, followed by dinner and after dinner, you will have a briefing about the next days trek.

Firstly, a member of Ultimate Challenges (UTC) will meet with us to distribute flight tickets and UTC will provide us with a UK leader who will trek with the group.

Local guides will trek with us and are knowledgeable about the country and route. On top of this, a UK doctor will also be accompanying the group.

Emma Rodgers

The Clatterbridge Fairy was specially created by our Charity Patron, internationally acclaimed sculptor, Emma Rodgers.

We asked Emma to share why she's supporting our Fairy Appeal:
"I have been a Patron of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity for 14 years now, as my mum is cared for there. They are incredible with her and getting the 'all clear' was a wonderful moment. They've done more for me than I can ever do for them, so creating the Fairy seems a small thing, really.

And this year I will be dedicating my Fairy to Professor Myint and the Team at Clatterbridge love from Emma, Milly, Annie and family."
