Location

What you need to know

Transport and accommodation are not included in this event unless otherwise stated. Use postcode CA12 5XJ to plan your trip. There is plenty of parking available at the meeting location but ensure you arrive early on weekends and holidays.

The time it takes to climb Scafell Pike can vary quite a bit. On average, the ascent and descent typically take around 5 to 6 hours for a round trip. However, this can change based on factors like your fitness level, the chosen route, weather conditions, and how long you spend at the summit.

In principle, yes, however this does depend on the child’s fitness and experience. As a guide we recommend over 10 year olds only, in order to keep up with the other participants on our open Scafell Pike days.

We are so often told that The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is unlike any other hospital. The Charity has funded a range of projects which help to to make Clatterbridge a place that stays in people’s hearts, including bringing cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes and breaking boundaries by becoming the first in the UK to offer a number of treatments.

Emma Rodgers

The Clatterbridge Fairy was specially created by our Charity Patron, internationally acclaimed sculptor, Emma Rodgers.

We asked Emma to share why she's supporting our Fairy Appeal:
"I have been a Patron of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity for 14 years now, as my mum is cared for there. They are incredible with her and getting the 'all clear' was a wonderful moment. They've done more for me than I can ever do for them, so creating the Fairy seems a small thing, really.

And this year I will be dedicating my Fairy to Professor Myint and the Team at Clatterbridge love from Emma, Milly, Annie and family."
