This world-renowned trek for charity takes you from Lukla through the world’s highest mountain range and encompasses the most breathtaking scenery you can imagine. Eight of the world’s fourteen highest peaks are found in this region, with Mt. Everest being the highest mountain above sea level.

This specially designed challenge will maximise your chances of success and the trekking is taken at a measured pace in order for you to acclimatise optimally. You will experience amazing, motivational and incredible support from the local guides – including incorporating traditional Sherpas who are from the Everest region. Their generous and loving support will motivate you to push on to reach and achieve your goal.

Words cannot describe the true feelings you will experience throughout this challenge; the sights of Buddhism and Hinduism surround you making this the ultimate trek.

Why We Need Your Help

By taking on this event you are helping us to deliver pioneering cancer care to patients throughout our region. 1 in 2 of us will be affected by cancer, but with your help we can be at the forefront of cancer treatments, and we can fund vital research, the latest therapies, and innovations in cancer treatment.

We are so often told that The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is unlike any other hospital. The Charity has funded a range of projects which help to to make Clatterbridge a place that stays in people’s hearts, including bringing cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes and breaking boundaries by becoming the first in the UK to offer a number of treatments.

Emma Rodgers

The Clatterbridge Fairy was specially created by our Charity Patron, internationally acclaimed sculptor, Emma Rodgers.

We asked Emma to share why she's supporting our Fairy Appeal:
"I have been a Patron of Clatterbridge Cancer Charity for 14 years now, as my mum is cared for there. They are incredible with her and getting the 'all clear' was a wonderful moment. They've done more for me than I can ever do for them, so creating the Fairy seems a small thing, really.

And this year I will be dedicating my Fairy to Professor Myint and the Team at Clatterbridge love from Emma, Milly, Annie and family."
